NVIDIA Releases B200 GPU: AI Compute Power Doubles Again

NVIDIA unveiled its next-generation Blackwell B200 GPU at GTC 2026.

Specifications

• FP8 compute: 20 PFLOPS (5x the H100)
• Memory: 288GB HBM4
• Power draw: 1200W (air cooling can't handle it — liquid cooling is a must)
• Price: $40,000-$50,000

China Market Version

NVIDIA also released a China-specific B20 variant, delivering roughly 70% of the B200's performance to comply with US export controls. It's priced even higher than the B200 — supply can't keep up with demand.

Impact

Mass production of the B200 makes training trillion-parameter models possible. But power consumption is also a concern — a 100,000-GPU cluster draws as much electricity as a small city.

Jensen Huang said at the keynote: "The more you buy, the more you save." He's been saying that for a decade, and it's been true every time.
